1) We will have a Draft of one Minor League player. This will be done as the first order of business on Auction Day. The regular Auction will commence after the Minor Draft.
2) The Draft will be in reverse order of the previous years standings.
3) The player must be in the Minors at that time and not on a NL DL.
4) The player must qualify as a Rookie, i.e. less than 130 AB's or less than 50 IP's.
5) The Minor Leaguer may be involved in a fantasy trade during the season. There would be no limit as to the number of Drafted Minor Leaguers an
Owner may have on his roster during the season.
6) When a player is called up by his NL team, there is the normal rule of two Monday's to activate him or he can be stolen from the roster (exception is September callups see Rule 8).
7) When a player is activated, he gets a $10 salary. His contract year depends on when he is activated as with other players -- before July 1, year one -- July 1 or after, year zero.
8) If a player is called up in September, it is not a requirement that he be activated and may not be stolen from the roster by another owner.
9) Activation does not count as a Move.
10) At the end of the season when the Winter Rosters are turned in, there can be multiple Drafted ML on it along with 23 active players. If an Owner has traded away his Minor Leaguer, the space will be vacant. -- If a player is activated during the season and is back in the Minors at the end of the season, in order for the player to be kept on the Winter Roster he must take one of the 23 active positions. He may not be put in the Minor slot since he has already been activated.
11) So that there may be no doubt as to which Minor Leaguer is the one that was drafted, in the Contract Year it will show "Drafted".
12) You may only keep one on the Drafted Minors List when we turn in our Keepers in the spring. If a Drafted Minor Leaguer (from last year) is still in the NL camp when keepers are due, you can either drop him or activate him as one of your eleven keepers. If the player is not in the NL camp, you may keep him on the minor list or drop him. If you have any players on the Minor List, you may not participate in the spring Minor Draft."
