January 1 == This is the start of the Winter Trading Period. Trades made during this period do not have to be even as far as positions are concerned and your roster does not have to stay at 23 players.
March 1 == I would like an e-mail from everyone by this date that they are playing in the league for 2009. If nothing is received, I will have to assume that there is no interest.
March 5 == We will start voting on rules changes for 2009 and I would like everyone to start checking their email everyday to keep up on league happenings.
March 26 - Thursday Midnight == This is the end of the Winter Trading Period.
March 28 - Saturday 11 PM == You must turn in your Keeper List of
players that you are retaining for the 2009 Season. There is no minimum
number to keep and the maximum number of players that may be kept is 11. Go into CBS Sports under "My Team", "Set Lineup".
You will see a check box in a column on the left titled "Keepers". Check the players you are Keeping. Do not check Toppers. Sunday morning
March 29, all unchecked players will be deleted from your team automatically. If you forget to check your Keepers, they too will be gone. == No one can see your Keepers except for the Commish. For that reason, I will send an email to everyone on March 26 with my Keepers.
== There are only two situations that your Keeper List may be altered after March 29.
== If a player is traded to the AL before our Auction, someone else from your Winter Roster
may be substitued for the traded player.
== If an Owner Keeps a player who is retired or in the AL, the Owner may request that the player
be dropped from his Keeper List and no replacement is allowed.
April 5 - Sunday Noon == This is the date for the Auction. It will be held at SRO Sports Bar near 290 and 610 in Northwest Mall. If there are any conflicts with the date, please let me know as soon as possible.
August 31 - 11 PM == This is the end of Regular Season Trading Period.
September 15 - 8 PM == No Bids may be started on players after this date.
October 10 - Saturday 8 PM == This is the deadline for turning in
your Winter Roster. It must consist
of 23 Players that fit the positions indicated in the
rules. You may also keep one Minor Leaguer who has a "Drafted" status in his contract year (if any remain on your team). No Salary Cap is in effect on the Winter Roster. Please send me an email with the moves you wish to make on your inactive players.
== You must decide which end of Links you are
keeping and drop the other end. If you keep the active link,
he becomes a Topper Player. This DOES NOT count
as a Move.
== Any Players on the Injury or Minor List
that does not have a Link may be activated and any
other player dropped or the Non-Linked inactive player may be dropped. This DOES NOT count as a Move.
== If you want to retain both ends of a Link and drop a
third player, you may use a Move (if any remain) to
do this. In this case, the active Link becomes a Topper Player. If you use this option, please email what the move was.
== If an Owner has no DL/ML players, he must send me an e-mail to express his desire
to play next season.
== If no action is taken by an Owner on his
Winter Roster, I will assume that there is no interest
for 2010 and seek another person to take over the team.
